Winding the year down

As the year comes to a close I find myself at a loss for the words to put together that would best capture what I want to say. Normally I have a mouth full to say and given this forum for my rants and vents, I usually say it. Well.

So what can I say?
Well, first of all, this year has flown by. There have been few years that moved as fast as 2005. It seemed that from the beginning of the year to the end of the year I was busy. Our best friends went through the biggest loss of their lives, we added a new member to our family, my brother added a new member to his family, my business grew and a lot of other things made this a year to try to catch up to.

I can say that, as with all year-end reflecting, I am glad that this year is behind us. It makes me feel refreshed when I get to start a new year. I feel almost like God has just put an end to this season and allowed us to start anew. So as the end of this year approaches I am looking forward to a strong start to 2006. My wife and I are already talking about what we want to accomplish next year and are charting a course to get it done. We are setting ambitious goals and I fully expect that if we do what we say we are going to do that we wil achieve our goals as we have stated them. And I believe that you can do that same.

Happy new year from me to you. I hope that you have a safe and merry Christmas and I pray that your 2005 ends well and that 2006 starts better than 2005 ended.

  1. Hi there, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you
get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you stop it, any
plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any assistance is very much appreciated.

  2. I do use a spam prevention plugin. I’m sure your blog platform would have a plugin you can download and use probably right out of the box. I know WordPress has the Akismet plugin, and I am pretty sure you can get that to work on non-Wordpress installations as well.
