Spamity Calamity

What the crap?

Do all the stupid people in the world that are trying to push their stupid products have to try to hijack my blog?

OK, I am just venting. But seriously, does anyone think that because one of their junk emails makes it through that anyone in their right mind would actually click on some stupid link for medications, body enlargements or wrinkle reducers? Please.

I am just a little aggravated at this at the moment. I apologize if I am getting too bent out of shape. I just wanted to throw this out there. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Happy Mother’s Day

Today is one of my more favorite holidays. I know, I am a male and I am supposed to be of the mindset that Mother’s Day was created by a bunch of female jewelry store owners, candy stores owners and restauranteurs to thrust their businesses to the next level. Well, I’m not. I actually enjoy mother’s day.

My wife is a champ. She is an example of what a mother should be. She’s a five-child having, homeschool teaching, husband pleasing wonder woman. How she manages to maintain her status (as noted in the previous sentence) is beyond me. As a man, I can’t wrap my mind around the concept of being a mother. Sure, I am a father to those five kids, but it in no way compares to what mom brings to the table. It is an entirely different perspective.

Somehow she manages to make it through every day with her hair intact, her eyes dry, her sanity somewhat in tact and her nerves only a little frazzled. I have played the role of stuck-at-home mom on a few ocassions, and I will tell you, every mother in the world, whether she has one child or 20 children, deserves a round of applause for what she endures on a daily basis. Throw in homeschooling and she deserves a medal.

So for me, mother’s day is not some entrepreneurial holiday developed to spike the ecomonic forecast for a day. No. It is something a lot more real, more relevent and more sentimental. Today is the day that mom gets her medal, her applause and a much needed pampering.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mom’s everywhere.

Branching out

Posted on May 9th, 2006 in General, My Business | No Comments »

I was thinking of moving my personal blog off of my development company web site and on to its own server domain. I am not sure why I would do this, seeing as I write about as much as a one handed man with no fingers. But I also want to legitimize my business a little more, so I think this is a necessary move.

I am also working on a new template for the main Everah Media Services company web site. I am trying right now to get it fine tuned. Once it is ready, it will rock.

We’ll, I am so swamped right now, I may not ever get around to getting off of this server and on to another. We’ll see. I’ll keep you posted.
