Over the past few months I have managed to stockpile ‘Hero’ points. These are little recognition moments for being a generally good dude, husband, father, etc. Like painting the accent wall on Super Bowl Sunday, getting the garaged cleaned for the large garbage pickup day, doing massive amounts of shopping over ad above what planned for our last Costco trip… things like that.

Typically, whenever my wife says “you’re my hero” I score a hero point or two. And today I am going to redeem some.

Fry’s Electronics here I come. There is probably no other way that I am ever going to be able to redeem my hero points other than shopping, so I am making a guy only trip (either just me or me and my son) to this mecca of geekdom and seeing what I can see. I really don’t need anything at the moment, and I may not buy anything while I am there. But if I don’t unload some of these here point soon I will not be able to walk anymore.

So off I go. Hopefully I’ll make it out alive.
