The 50 US Capitols
I gave my kids (the older three anyway) the task of learning the 50 United States (by name) and their capitol cities. I think it is important for them to know the names of the states (after all, we are American so it seems appropriate to do) because in typical educational systems, kids at age 10 usually know their United States. Since our educational system in our home is anything but typical, I thought I would take it to a new level and have my kids learn the names of the States and their capitols. We'll see how it goes.
