PHPDN Forums Appear to be Down

Update: Everything appears to be back to normal now, thanks to feyd and his efforts to restore peace and order to the galaxy. Apprently our community fell victim to some form of ddos attack, and even though the host stopped the attack, there was some corruption at the data level that required a board admin to run some clean up duty. Thanks again to feyd for getting our forum back on line.

Well, I have tried all morning long to get into the forums, but I think they are dead at the moment. I think it has something to do with MySQL, but I cannot be sure at the moment.

I did attempt a call to a board admin to notify him of the condition of the boards. But for now, at least as of the last time I checked, the boards were still down. I will keep an eye on them for a little while longer on account of I miss my community.

If anyone knows what this message means (from a technical standpoint) it would be most helpful to us attempt to figure out the problem:

phpBB : Critical Error

Error doing DB query userdata row fetch

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1016 Can't open file: 'phpbb_users.MYI' (errno: 145)

SELECT u.*, s.* FROM phpbb_sessions s, phpbb_users u WHERE s.session_id = '6309894f24c7d615ebba9e0886a7de46' AND u.user_id = s.session_user_id

Line : 367
File : sessions.php

I think there is a corrupted MySQL file, but at this point it is only a guess.

WTF Paris Hilton?

Or should I say LA County Sheriff?

How in the world can anyone justify letting Paris Hilton out of jail on medical reasons when the medical reasoning is that she was close to a nervous break down? Puh-leez. That girl has a lot to learn, and apparently so does the Sheriff.

There is no way that anyone that doesn't feel well should be let out of jail. Period. If someone in jail gets the flu, do they get to go home and live under house arrest while they serve the remainder of their sentence recovering from their ailments? Uh, let me check... NO! Star treatment has gone to far this time, setting a precedent that may not be able to be salvaged.

I can already see the number of inmates, attorneys, civil rights activists and bleeding heart sympathizers calling for the release of inmates all over the state. I imagine that some time over the next two days, about 100% of the inmates in the LA County jail will be stricken with a rare, but serious, condition in which they suffer from near nervous break downs. And how will the Sheriff handle that?

That's right. He'll tell them to quit their sniveling and keep doing their time. Just like Paris Hilton should do. But she can't. Because she is Paris Hilton and being in jail is just not hot.
