Recursive loops and marriage
Last night my wife and I were talking and she asked me if I am getting up and walking around enough at work. I told her that I was, then grinned in a way that suggested perhaps I was being a little less than truthful with her whilst trying to be cute enough to her to talk her into being married to me (if you know what I mean
).
So I suggested that maybe she could call me and flirt with me a little bit. She said she would if I got up and walked. To which I replied that I would get up and walk if she called me and flirted with me. To which she replied that she would call and flirt with me if I got up walked.
Seeing that this bit of recursive validation would ultimately end up in both of puking from sea sickness, she decided to point out that this is the story of man/woman relationship. To which I added this little bit:
He: Sleep with me and I'll listen to you.
She: Listen to me and I'll sleep with you.
He: Sleep with me and I'll listen to you.
She: Listen to me and I'll sleep with you.
He: Sleep with me and I'll listen to you.
She: Listen to me and I'll sleep with you.
He: Sleep with me and I'll listen to you.
She: Listen to me and I'll sleep with you.
He: Sleep with me and I'll listen to you.
She: Listen to me and I'll sleep with you.
He: Sleep with me and I'll listen to you.
She: Listen to me and I'll sleep with you.
Again, segmentation fault and catastrophic system failure. The loop never ends. Now if I could just wrap my mind around the HTTP architecture of marriage, I might be able to put an end to this system killing loop...

I think we’re getting the hang of it. ; )

I’d say so, though sometimes my marriage logic still causes seg faults and never ending loops.
