No, not God
Last night while doing our thankfuls, my son, who loves to participate, got stuck on what to be thankful. So all we heard for a few seconds was "I'm tahnkful for, um...".
To try to facilitate his thankfulness, I began to offer suggestions to him. "You train? You juice cup? Your Thomas jammers?" Then the whole family got involved and started to offer him suggestions. As the suggestions started to rain down on him you could see him getting overwhelmed by all the suggestions.
Just as Alaynah, our four year old, offered the sugestion "God? Are you thankful for God?" my son replied with a loud and emphatic "NO NOT GOD!".
After a spot of laughing and quiet, I realized something. I am so thankful for laughter.
