One man's voice Thoughts, rants and commentary of a simple man

Now that’s some land

So my friends, the Hubers, bought a house. And not just the house. They bought the farm.

I am so thrilled for them. I can't think of the words to say, but dude, their place is incredible. 19 acres with a pond that sits on the border of their place. A workshop. A house. The whole gamut. It is awesome.

So I got to thinking, that if I had a plot of land, what would I do with it first? And that answer jumped out at me. It is painfully simple. If you want your son to throw 50 yards, give him 50 yards. Yep, you got it. I'd build a football field. Turf it, stripe it, setup the goal posts. All of it.

Then I'd ride my quads over to the other side of the land mass that would be the Gonzalezpace and go fishing. Then I might consider setting animals to roam so I could go hunting. Then, after I found my way back to something that I finally recognized, I head back home and sit at my porch and watch the sun go down on that gorgeous piece of land.

Ray and CeeCee (and kids), I am so overjoyed for you. I really am. And I cannot wait to invite our family up there for a week or so and BBQ somewhere in that land mass while reminiscing, laughing, sipping some nice wine and enjoying your new home. God bless you guys.
