So I was up early but not nearly early enough to get the kids home this morning.

My sister had to go to work this morning at 9:00 AM and her husband had to go with her to help. I was there to get the kids at 9:30. Not too bad seeing as my niece is 13 years old and my two oldest daughters have watched their younger siblings before. I wasn’t really concerned but I was a little hasty in my drive to get over there to get them.

I also knew that there was another sleepover to prepare them for tonight. And since it was a birthday party sleepover we needed to get to the store to pick up presents. So there was a little bit of a need to get them early so we could get done the things that needed to get done before it was time to leave for San Carlos.

After we got home we headed out to Target to pick up some gifts for my daughters’ friend and we got home and wrapped them. Then we made sure all the bags were packed and we hopped in the truck as a family to get everyone over to the gym that our friends’ daughters’ party was being held at.

We spent a few hours there, ate some food then packed our son into the truck and headed home.

So now we are at home and we are planning some husband and wife time later this evening. I have to say that our new found marriage relationship is kicking some serious butt and making me happier than I have ever been as a married man, ever. I really am looking forward to spending a great night together tonight as we prepare for picking up the girls tomorrow before getting ready for the Super Bowl.
