And the fires of hell opened…
... and it was hot. Very hot. Unseasonably hot for this time of year.
As I look back on the day I wonder how it is that I managed to not shrivel up and die from the heat. Ok, that is a little dramatic, but dude, it is April 12. Seriously, 87° on an April 12th? What the carp?
In case you don't believe me:

See, I told you. That is freaking hot. Plus, I think that the weather people are not entirely accurate. Though it says 87° it felt more like it was mid-90's. And that whole partly cloudy bit? No, not really.
I think the temperature should have been DamnHot°. That would have been more representative of what it actually felt like.
Yes, I know I sound like a sniveling punk that can't be made happy. This is largely true. However I can be made happy when it comes to weather. Low 70's, no clouds, light breeze. Is that asking too much?
All of this hellfire weather has me looking forward to summer now. I am looking less forward to the fact that my home's insulation still sucks, but I guess we can find some late night stores open that will keep us cool until heading back into our house on those really hot days. Like today was.
And if nothing else, at least it wasn't raining today. Because as much as I complain about the terrible heat we had today, on the hottest I am still happier than when it is raining.
