My Diet for April 11, 2010

Note about this information:

  • Today was a lazy, slow, relaxing day. My diet reflected this as I had a couple of left over quiches from last night’s party for breakfast, breakfast for lunch and a regular dinner.
  • I didn’t consume a lot of food today, so I rewarded myself tonight with a couple of easter candies. I seldom do this but since my calories, fat and sugar were low tonight I felt it was ok to do it.
  • Overall it was a good day of eating for me. Today was also nice in that I was able to exercise a little just by living, from walking to cooking to moving around. Putting those both together, it was a doubly overall good day for me.

Insanity: Day 28 – Rest

I didn’t realize until late this morning just how much I needed rest. I have really pounded my body over the last week, most intensely yesterday as I finished out the first four week segment of Insanity. My body hurts today like never before in the last four weeks and I’m pretty sure it is from a combination of how hard I worked out yesterday and how much other work I did around the house in preparation for Sarah’s birthday party yesterday.

All I know is that today my body was telling me loud and clear that I should not only rest but get as much relaxation and decompression as I could. The feeling is awesome, being so exhausted from working out that I literally have to do nothing but rest. But it is also a little unsettling because I really feel like I am not contributing to my household or my health at all today.

Still, I know I need to rest. And today I am doing just that. Tomorrow begins our transition week in Insanity, which I am really looking forward to. But until then I believe I will be heeding the call of my sore and tired body. I will be resting.

My Diet for April 10, 2010

I’ve gone and done something I have yet to do since starting my weight loss program: I’ve let myself have an evening off of worrying about what I was eating and instead allowed myself to indulge a bit in the food around me. It was my daughters birthday party and it just seemed right. I didn’t overindulge in any way. But I also didn’t watch my intake as closely as I have been. To that end, I will post what I know about my diet for yesterday. It is accurate through lunch.
